ABOUT EESHANI

Eeshani Buddi graduated from Appleton North High School in May 2021 and will be pursuing her education at Carleton College, Minnesota from September 2021. She is a keen Bharatanatyam dance student who has been learning this ancient Indian classical dance form since August 2010. She has participated in group and solo performances at cultural and diversity events in North-East Wisconsin. She is a finalist in the Bharatnatyam category of the ‘CoVid 19 stay home global digital competition’ organized in April-May 2020 by Rosenectar foundation.

Eeshani’s interest in music complements her passion for dance. She is an ABRSM certified level 5 pianist and was placed first in Appleton in level 2 piano by the Carnegie Mellon conservatory of music in 2013. She was trained in Hindustani classical music for 7 years. She sang Alto in both the Varsity Treble and exclusive North Choir at Appleton North High School.

Eeshani has an inquisitive mind and an enthusiasm for learning. She has excelled in academics as well as achieved ranking in science fairs, Sea Perch, and Destination Imagination. As a member of Youth In Government, she focused on writing bills in the legislative branch. Her keen sense of justice led her to propose bills that were passed by both the houses and signed by the Governor of YIG, Wisconsin.

She founded the Interact Club at Appleton North High during her freshman year thereby improving her school and community through service. Rotary International recognized the achievements of Appleton North Interact club by awarding a citation with platinum distinction in August 2020 for achieving community service, leadership, global service, and strategic goals established by the RI. Eeshani served as the Co-Secretary of the National Honors Society from June 2020-May 2021. She was selected by the staff from among a class of 450 to represent the school at the American Legion Auxiliary Badger Girls State conference to be held in the Summer of 2020, which was unfortunately cancelled due to the CoVid pandemic. She initiated and organized a tutoring program in diverse subjects at various grade levels at the

Boys & Girls brigade to provide additional support to kids dealing with the challenge of virtual schooling. Eeshani is also the recipient of the prestigious Prudential Community spirit regional award for the year 2021 for exceptional community service in aiding the needy during the Covid pandemic.

She is an accomplished swimmer and has been a valued singles player on the Appleton North High School tennis team. Her hobbies include reading, painting & baking.

Eeshani is grateful to the almighty for her blessings! She is obliged to all her teachers in various disciplines for imparting knowledge and work ethics that will serve her for a lifetime. She is thankful to her family for the support, is appreciative of peers for being good role models, and thankful to the community for enriching her life experiences as it takes a village to raise a child.

She is happy to welcome all of you to her Arangetram, which is the culmination of her Bharatanatyam learning experience.
